That is a question that has been circulating and many have speculated or indeed have commented and posted about their success at various times of the day and days of the week for publishing content to their blogs. And as you know, once content is published, normally a ping is made to various bookmarking sites or the content is manually added at the Bookmarking sites and traffic then hopefully flows to your new content. And that is where this post concentrates on. Getting your article or content noticed on the social bookmarking sites. So is there an ideal time to publish that new spiffy article? Well over at Third Rail the answer is YES, and he has done some in depth stat gathering to back up that claim.

So what is the best time? According to his information and analysis, the best time to publish and be noticed is Thursdays at noon PST time. But a closer look also reveals that Tuesday through to Friday are all "hot time" zones for publishing between the hours of 10am- 2pm PST. That means publishing at night or on weekends lessens your chance of being a success on the bookmarking social sites. I suggest heading on over to Third Rail if you want to learn more about this claim and analysis. Maybe some publishing changes are in order now?? :)
