Send Away Your Traffic

Thats right, the Title said , Send Away Your Traffic.

You are likely thinking to yourself politely right now (Or at least I hope politely lol) what in the world is this guy thinking? why would I or anyone want to send our traffic away?

I was recently reading some forums and saw others debating on this technique. I then googled and found other articles and forums debating this practice as well. In short, send your traffic away via a link to related content on another bloggers site within your articles. Why? To increase your traffic! No I didnt trip on the way home from a walk or get in a car accident, and no I dont have a fever.

The theory here is simple. If you blog about what other bloggers or "competitors" within your own niche are writing about and point your own readers to these other blogs, you are doing a service to your readers. You are providing them with information! After all they came to your blog or article looking for information and you are directing them to the source. Your readers will be happy and count on your blog for getting them the information they want. Which helps with return visits and readers. Not to mention the other blog might notice and review about you and send traffic your way. The main thing here is you will become an "authority" in the niche that your blog dwells in.

In short:

1. The more you send people away to more valuable resources, the more valuable you in return become for your readers
   
   
2. Blogging about other bloggers puts you in a unique position to get your blog cited by them
